Immerse yourself in authentic Moroccan culture. From private tailored language courses to living with local host families and day-long Berber adventures in the High Atlas Mountains.
ARABIC is the first language of over 250 million people, and the key to understanding a culture that has become increasingly important on the global scene.
If you are looking for a new challenge, want to build cultural bridges, make lifelong Moroccan friends, or conduct business in Morocco, Study Arabic Marrakech is for you.
You will discover very quickly that locals respond with warmth, openness, and genuine friendship once they see you making an effort to speak their language. Within just a few lessons, you will be able to shop for groceries, ask meaningful questions about daily life, and barter for good prices in the markets.
While French is understood in business and administration, the heart language of the people is Moroccan Darija (and Berber in the mountains!). French helps with basic transactions, but Darija will help you become part of the community.
For groups and individuals visiting Morocco for a short time who want to taste the culture, cook traditional tagine, stroll local souks with locals, and learn practical phrases to bargain and make friends.
A conversational, step-by-step program adapted to your learning speed. Master grammar, conjugation, everyday dialogues, and practice in real-world street scenarios with native speakers.
Step outside the standard classroom. Connect deeply with authentic local communities, live with hospitable Moroccan hosts, and experience authentic Amazigh life in the mountains.
Ourika Valley
Journey into the picturesque Ourika Valley for an unforgettable day embedded with an authentic Berber family. Participate in everyday mountain life, authentic wood-fire cooking, and scenic river walks.

Essential advice compiled by our team over 20 years to help you prepare your language stay and thrive in Morocco.
Bartering in the Medina is a social ritual! Start around 1/3 of the initial quoted price and settle amicably. Use your newly learned Darija phrases like "Bezzaf!" (Too much!) with a friendly smile.
Enjoy a traditional steam bath and *gommage* with black soap (Savon Beldi). Local neighborhood hammams cost around 10-15 MAD, or indulge in luxury riad spas like Les Bains de Marrakech.
Try piping-hot Tagine and Friday Couscous in roadside cafes, fresh Harira soup in Jemaa El Fna, and traditional pastilla. We also recommend women's cooperative restaurant El Fassia in Gueliz.
Petit taxis (yellow) seat up to 3 passengers and must use their meter (*compteur*). Most journeys across Gueliz and Medina range between 12 to 25 MAD. Grand taxis are ideal for excursions to Ourika.
